Description
Introducing the first set of Limited edition colors for 2026 on the 5″ Mikros-Pop130!
As some of you may know, the Small Lure Company® lineup of lures are original designs based off the custom lures created by Merv Rubiano of StrategicAngler®. Since 2011, StrategicAngler has been creating one off and custom patterns for avid anglers looking for that special color and this year, some of these patterns have made it to the Small Lure Company as a small batch production line.
Only 100 pieces of each color (5 colors) will be available for 2026 and dealers who have reached out to us and requested an allocation will be receiving their pieces at the end of February. The plan is to offer these unique colors to everyone at a competitive price point annually which means you can look forward to seeing more custom pieces every year in small batches, keeping quality control at the highest levels.
In addition to the custom paint jobs, the Limited edition Mikros-poppers also feature a full body rainbow foil to give it an additional depth and shine for a true custom look, worthy to be displayed or scuffed up with your fish of choice.
Thank you for all your support, and tight lines!
Merv Rubiano

The Mikros-Pop is available in a 5 inch (130mm) and 6.75 inch (170mm) size in 6 different global color patterns, each representing some of the most predominant baitfish across the world. Each lure pattern has been tested in various fisheries from the Outer banks to the Northeast atlantic, Western pacific, Australia and Hawaii and has successfully captured numerous species from each region.
The Mikros-Pop130 has been tested on pelagics weighing up to 60 lbs and the larger Mikros-Pop170 on fish up to 225 lbs. The Mikros-Pop comes rigged with the appropriate saltwater grade hooks and split rings and is shipped in a specially designed 100% recyclable or compostable cardboard box.
Mikros-Pop130
Length: 130mm/5 inches
Weight: 40g/1.4 oz
Hooks: Ultra Anti rust 3/0 wide gap singles
Split ring: size 4 rated at 55kg
Rigging: I highly recommend tying a swivel to your leader, followed by a split ring to the nose of the Mikros-Pop. This “loosens” the action of the popper and relieves any line tension as you are fighting your target species.
